Holy hot damn, time flies. I haven’t posted anything here in five years!

I keep forgetting that I have a website. The year is ticking away quickly, we’re already in November, and I was going to make a New Year’s Resolution to utilize this website and blog more; but why wait for the New Year? I’m just going to start now.

Writing – especially long-form pieces like a novel – can be a real insular experience, spending my nights at the living room table scribbling and editing, and it’s easy to forget that the purpose here is to connect with people. So while I continue to work on those longer pieces – and continue to change my ideas and motivations and what I want to write – I want to keep publishing smaller pieces here.

I have some ideas for a weekly post, I’m thinking of doing another week of posting a story a day in the next few weeks, and I have some ideas brewing for the new year as well. There’s no shortage of ideas, only time and the discipline to finish the idea. What it all boils down to: I want to write more, so I’m going to.

(Also – I need new pictures because my hair is not that short anymore & my beard is much more grey)
